Mission

The mission of the SSCC is to support governmental and industrial bodies as well the Swiss society as a whole in the process of facing today’s increasing and complex challenges in cyber security.

The Swiss Support Center for Cybersecurity (SSCC) is a joint initiative of EPFL Lausanne, ETH Zürich, and ZHAW. The SSCC supports the government, civil society and industry through advice, training and knowledge transfer in the critical domains of cybersecurity, cybersecurity policy, information security and digital trust.

Goals:
  • Make resources in cyber security related domains within the academic institutes accessible to the government, civil society and industry.
  • Facilitate access to research and educational capabilities in our institutes.
  • Establish a central point of contact and information center for cyber security related requests within our institutions.
  • Provide the Swiss society as a whole with a think tank that federates all stakeholders, fosters collaboration and coordinates activities.
  • Use of EPFL's, ETHZ's, and ZHAW's expertise, abilities and resources to provide the necessary foundations for Switzerland to prepare for and cope with future cyber security related challenges.

Activities of the SSCC include:
  • Consulting for senior leaders in all branches of the government.
  • Collaboration with national cyber centers.
  • Organization of workshops for administration and industry.
